Algeria allocates $22.5 billion to solve housing crisis

The 2015 budget of the Algerian housing ministry went up by 16.20 percent to $22.6 billion compared to 2014. This reflects the volume of projects expected to be launched for the construction of about 1 million houses.
The ministry allocated 150,000 million DZ to build 100,000 rental public houses in 2015. A total of 1,844 million DZ will be allocated for the construction of 2,700 rental public houses in the capital and 1,314 billion DZ to purchase school equipment.
The ministry proposed to build 7 car stations, 45 proximity markets and 10 covered markets in the new housing compounds.
The government will allocate 40,944 million DZ for the National Housing Fund. People will be granted 70 million centimes for social houses.
