Algeria, an emerging market

LONDON (United Kingdom)- UK considers Algeria as an emerging market, said Wednesday in London UK Minister of State for Trade and Investment Lord Green on the sidelines of a presentation ceremony for the government's new economic strategy.

“We consider Algeria as an emerging market given its significant natural resources and its development capacity,” the United Kingdom official told APS. In reply to a question about the sectors that are likely to further boost economic relations between the two countries, Lord Green said “there are many (areas), and it is for investors to identify them.”

“The role of government is to support these businesses.”
