Algeria army finds pig remnants in terrorist hideouts

The Algerian army forces found bone remnants and pig heads in the forest of Bouzeguza in Boumerdes province (50 km east of Algiers), Echorouk has learnt.

• This finding came following a military operation in the area. The scattered heads next to abandoned terrorist hideouts show that some of the animals were slaughtered a short time ago. That means those animals were hunted and slaughtered to use their meat.

• Hunting has been forbidden in this forest for ten years.

• Sources said terrorist groups hunted those animals to eat them as security forces had tightened the noise on funding sources. Repentant terrorists told investigators applied fatwa issued by their leaders allowing them to eat pork.

• Earlier, security forces foiled an attempt by terrorists to eat Iftar meals in charity restaurants. They tried to hide their identities and get themselves among poor people.

• According to the same sources, the military operations which have been carried out for months forced terrorists to be limited in the extreme south. They went away from support sources and housing compounds. That makes them more subject to hunger.

• The current security plan focuses on surrounding terrorist groups in isolated areas to block support and funding sources including food. Regular combing operations are carried out in areas where terrorists may be.
