Algeria defeated by Ireland in friendly by 3 goals to nil

The Algerian national squad were outplayed Friday night by Ireland by 3 goals to nil in a friendly international match played in Dublin. 

• The 3 winning Irish goals were scored by strikers Paul Green on the 31st minute of the game and by Robby Keane on the 52nd and 85th minutes in the second half.

• This match was in preparation for the Algeria squad who will take part in the upcoming World cup tournament in South Africa (June 11- July 11).

• This warm-up fixture in Dublin will certainly prompt national team coach Rabah Saadane to “correct” certain drawbacks registered notably in the defense and forward lines with a view to solidifying the line-up and upgrading cohesion among his players before D. Day in South Africa.

• The Greens have also a second friendly match on schedule versus the national squad of the United Arab Emirates next Saturday in Nuremberg (Germany) before flying the day after to South Africa.
