Algeria: Dismantling of international smuggling ring trading in weapons, artifacts and drugs

Police services of the province of Oran (western Algeria) smashed last Saturday, a dangerous international criminal ring operating inside and outside the country specialized in trafficking activities of artifacts, drugs and sale of firearms after a thorough investigation.

The police Operation resulted, in seizing 34 kg of qualitative processor, knives, swords and various firearms, as well as several cars with powerful engines used for escape, a load of pure cut and Antiques, in addition to large sums of money in local and hard currency.

Police officers also found in the possession of those arrested a batch of smuggled artifacts, including four brass statues, modeled on a woman and Pharaoh and Phil, along with 12 pieces of antique coins made of copper as well as quantities of drugs.

In addition, considerable sums of money estimated at 300 million centimes (DA) and 500 Euros deriving from the proceeds of smuggling, and 4 vehicles of all brands, all of whom with powerful engines designed to escape from the grip of the security forces were seized.
