Algerian transport minister Amar Ghoul said a preliminary investigation on the management of Air Algerie. A report will be submitted to Prime Minister in order to restructure the company.

“As part of the new restructuration, services will be improved. Raising tickets price is meant to create a balance between the economic and social dimensions,” the minister told journalists on Thursday.

He added that Algeria will buy 16 new planes and 20 airports will be provided with an electronic signal system. It will help planes to land and take off.

Speaking about the crash of the Ukrainian plane, Ghoul told Echorouk the investigation is still underway.

He also said an investigation was opened on traffic accidents as they are on the rise. Necessary measures will be taken following coordination meetings between transport, interior and public works ministries.
