Algeria grants 500,000 DZ to education employees to buy or build houses

The National Service Activities Committee released its services for education employees. Provincial committees started registration for Al Mawlid Omra. Housing loans of 500,000 DZ will be granted. Retirement allowance will be paid to 25,000 people until December 31st.

Chairman of the National Service Activities Committee Mustapha Ben Ouis told Echorouk 70 percent of allocated budget was deposited to the provincial committees accounts. By the end of October, 35 accounts out of 50 will receive the money. “This helped to release different social services including delayed allowances.”

He added that the provincial committees started preparing for Al Mawlid Omra. Specifications were prepared and agreement with tour agencies were signed. 

“A total of 5,000 people will be selected this year following a random draw. Every year, 20,000 persons are subscribed. Most of them are retired employees. The Committee covers 50 percent of fees,” he said.

Education employees will also be able to get a loan of 200,000 DZ or 500,000 DZ to build or buy a house. 

Speaking about delayed bonuses of Eid, school year, death and marriage, he said they will be paid. Car loans will be postponed to the end of the year and the beginning of the next year due to deficit in cars market and their high price.

Asked about retirement bonus estimated at 250,000 DZ, Ben Ouis said it will paid for people who retired in 2015 by the end of October. Their number is estimated at 250,000. The operation will be conducted progressively until the end of December.
