Algeria national coach resigns
Algeria national coach Rabah Saadane
Algerian national team’s technical staff resigned Friday following a one-all draw by a modest Tanzania team at home in first Africa Cup of Nations' qualifier.
-
President of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) Mohamed Raouraoua told Echorouk the contract with the technical staff was terminated amicably while the name of the succeeding coach will be disclosed later.
-
-
The termination came as the national team made modest results. This decision has been expected since Algeria missed the mark against Tanzania and fans showed anger over that.

Rabah Saadane was appointed as Algeria national coach in September 2007 and led the team to the World Cup after 24 years of absence.

Earlier on Friday, Raouraoua told national radio Saadane will be dismissed if he fails in the Africa Cup of Nations’ qualifiers.
