Algeria new coach to attend friendly match against Gabon

President of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF) Mohamed Raouroua does not want to dash for any decision about the Algeria’s new coach at present, Echorouk has learnt.

  • Saadane will not resign at present

  • Algeria coach Rabah Saadane will wait for the FAF’s president to come back from South Africa to give him a detailed report about the national team’s participation in the World Cup.

  • Sources said the Saadane’s contract with the FAF will expire on June 30th. He will supervise the national team in a friendly match against Gabon and he will stay with them until the arrival of the new coach.

  • The new coach will attend the friendly match due to be held in Algeria on August 11th. It will be an opportunity for him to have an idea about the players and maybe to meet them.
  •  
  • Algeria’s first official match as part of the 2012 African Nations Cup qualifiers will be held between September 3rd and 5th. The FAF will appoint the local team’s coach Abdelhak Ben Chikha as the new coach’s assistant.
