Algeria placed in 38th in FIFA World Ranking

Algeria national team ranked 38 worldwide, 5th in Africa and 3rd in the Arab World, according to FIFA ranking issued on Thursday.

The national team maintained its Arab and African position compared to last year.

In 2015, Algeria ranked 28 worldwide, 2nd in Africa following Côte d’Ivoire and 1st in the Arab world.

This ranking comes due to Algerian players’ performance. Algeria led 1-1 at Russia World Cup qualifier against Cameroon and lost a match against Nigeria 1-3.

Nigeria ranked 51st while Cameroon kept its 65th position. Zambia ranked 88th.

Burkina Faso maintained its 102nd position.

Argentine topped the list followed by Brazil and Germany.
