Algeria players: “We have drawn useful lessons from our participation in 2010 World cup”
All the players of the Algeria national football team have voiced satisfaction at the good performance they displayed during the first round of the World cup contest in South Africa despite their early disqualification.

The Greens of Algeria were unanimous in saying that their commendable participation in the 2010 world cup would serve them well in the future football tournaments notably during the forthcoming Africa cup of nations qualifiers scheduled for early September 2010.

Seasoned defender Madjid Bouguerra told Echorouk that the Algerian players had garnered a most precious experience during their recent world cup matches versus such strong teams as Slovenia, England and the USA, stressing that this would prompt them to forge ahead and do much better in the upcoming regional and international contests.

Likewise, defender Nadir Belhadj also asserted in a statement to Echorouk that the Greens’ praiseworthy participation in this world cup tournament in South Africa would drive them to correct their mistakes and remove their drawbacks notably in the forward line in order to take up again with a string of meritorious victories in future regional and international matches.

For his part, the talented playmaker of the Algeria squad, Karim Ziani, also said in a statement to Echorouk that the Algerian players should now focus on the upcoming Africa cup of nations’ qualifiers versus Morocco, Gabon and Tanzania starting from next September after demonstrating their widely-acclaimed potency and resilience during the first round of the 2010 World cup competition in South Africa.
