Algeria PM opens state-owned industrial real-estates issue
Algerian Prime Minister Ahmed Ouyahia
Algerian government and industry ministry received a letter from control and fraud fighting department about a letter of more than 500 investors benefiting from state-owned industrial real-estates, Echorouk has learnt.
- The investors manipulated with the real-estates. They divert them from their original destination and built on them party rooms, gymnasiums and coffee shops, the same sources told Echorouk.
- The names in the list benefited from many privileges illegally such as tax exemption and reduction without concretising projects agreed upon. They used commercial registers and industrial real-estates for other purposes.
- Security investigations show that a large number of projects are still not concretised. Other projects were diverted from their original destination like the construction of gymnasiums, party rooms or coffee shops.
- According to the same sources, security forces started other field investigations about real-estate management in many areas in Algeria. Most of them are situated next to industrial zones in Hassi R’mel and Hassi Messaoud.
