Algeria qualifies at ease to 2015 Nations Cup
Algeria football team Wednesday qualified for January’s Africa Cup of Nations finals with a 3-0 win over visiting Malawi becoming the first qualifying team.
The Desert Fighters scored the three goals during 54 minutes. It was started by Yacine Brahimi who scored on the 48th second. Riyad Mehrez then scored on the 45th minute. Islam Slimani achieved the mission by a third score as he kicked the ball by his head.
The result would have been heavier if Ghoulam, Slimani and Mesbah did not miss many opportunities.
Earlier on Saturday, Mali was defeated by Ethiopia 3-2 at home to Mali.
The game was intelligently played by Algeria and was followed by celebrations as it is the first time that the team has qualified after 4 matches only.
Algeria qualified for the first time to Africa Cup of Nations in 1968.
