Algeria: Security cameras to be set up all along new East-West highway

According to authorized sources, the new East-West highway extending over 12 thousand kilometers across northern Algeria will be fitted with numerous high-tech cameras linked to a satellite with the aim of ensuring the maximum security for the users of this major road infrastructure.

• This state of the art surveillance camera device will be achieved under the supervision of the Algerian telecommunications company with the technical assistance from seasoned foreign experts.

• This was announced after an inspection visit on the spot carried out Sunday by the public works Minister Amar Ghoul and the Minister of Posts, information technologies and communications Moussa Benhamadi who were accompanied by several experts from the telecommunications sector.

• The aim of the operation is to make the east-west highway a safe one and provide its users with the best amenities and provisions of service by notably averting them any mishap all along this great public works achievement.
