Algeria shows interest in HCM City development model

Algeria’s National People’s Assembly Chairman Abdelaziz Ziari showed interest in the development model of Ho Chi Minh City, an economic hub of Vietnam, while visiting the city on January 22.

• Meeting with the municipal People’s Council Chairwoman Pham Phuong Thao, the top Algerian legislator reiterated his determination to strengthen comprehensive relations with Vietnam.

  His visit to Vietnam exemplifies the willingness of the Algerian parliament and government to elevate relations between the two countries, he stressed.

  Chairwoman Thao expressed her pleasure at talks between the top legislators of both countries, which promised productive co-operation between the two legislative bodies and countries.

  She also spoke highly of the important role of female parliamentarians in Algeria’s legislature and government, saying she hoped that the two countries would soon step up the sharing of experience on the matter.
