Algeria squad''s performance to improve, Benchikha
Algeria coach Abdelhak Benchikha says that the national team’s performance will improve from here until the match against Morocco, scheduled early June in Casablanca, for the fourth round (Group D) of the CAN 2012 qualification.
“More than two months away from the match vs. Morocco. I think that we have enough time to prepare adequately for this date. We will show better performance”, Benchikha says on the national radio.
“We won over a large team, which tried to attack us many times; however, we stopped players who tried to score against us. Desert warriors showed a great desire to overcome the obstacles of Atlas Lions. In such matches victory is the only important matter”, he added.
“I need more time to work. I will benefit from the return of some elements who were absent against Morocco. Algeria team will surely have a better future. Pressure will change during the next match. We are satisfied and we’ll quietly prepare our plan to win over Morocco. The best will win at the end”.
In anticipation for the match against Atlas Lions, Benchikha decided a long-term training; “I have decided to launch a long-term training in a place that has not yet been determined, especially as the European Championships will be suspended during that period, these circumstances will help me to gather all Algerian players in the same training”.
