Algeria team coach Benchikha oversees first training session of the Greens

The new coach of the Algerian national football squad, Abdelhak Benchikha, supervised on Sunday at the stadium of the military complex of Beni Messous in upper Algiers the first training session of the Greens with just ten players in attendance.

 

 

 

  • This first training session which started at 17h lasted only one hour to allow the players attending to recuperate their strength and stamina.
  •  
  • Among the local players who took part in this first training session we had goalkeepers Gaouaoui and Zemamouche as well as defender Abdelkader Larfaoui and midfielder Abdelmoumène Djabou.
  •  
  • The list of the professional players who were present included Bouguerra, Belaid, Halliche, Antar Yahia and Carl Medjani.

  • The rest of the international players is expected to arrive shortly in Algiers to join their teammates in expectation of the next three training sessions which are planned to be held this time at the 5th of July Olympic stadium starting from tomorrow.

  • National coach Benchikha also held on the occasion an awareness – raising encounter with the players in the presence of his close collaborators from the Greens’ technical staff with the aim of expounding his overall strategy and the importance for the Algeria line-up of achieving a satisfactory result during the upcoming Africa cup of nations’ qualifier versus the squad of the Central African Republic on October 10th in Bangui.
