Algeria: “Terms of study and training abroad for students, professors and faculty staff”
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has set a number of conditions for those university students, professors, researchers and faculty staff who are interested in following residential studies and training overseas for the 2016-2017 academic year.
The relevant applicants will see their application files examined first at the level of scientific councils and regional seminars and by National Committees, with the candidates undergoing written tests before being finally picked out through the study of their files by a specialized committee.
“Echorouk” has learnt on the basis of a correspondence from the Ministry of higher education and scientific research that the student candidates must have obtained a high grade during their academic courses, thus entitling them to be among the top three in the standings with regard to their syllabus specialization, and on condition of not repeating the academic year and not exceeding the year-end in 2016.
The hopeful students’ ages should be between 23 years and 30 years for the vying of higher diplomas from foreign universities notably those holding the BA degree, the Masters’ degree and the PhD on the basis of cooperation and partnership agreements concluded by Algeria with several foreign countries in this field of endeavour.
The candidates seeking residential studies abroad should be in possession of a university degree in graduation or post-graduation or a foreign university diploma duly recognized and normalized by the relevant Algerian authorities before seeing their files processed and given the seal of approval.
