Algeria to generalize camouflaged cars in all its provinces
The National Gendarmerie camouflaged cars have helped to stop drivers from using excessive speed and detect traffic infractions. Of them, there were dangerous manoeuvres and talking to the phone while driving. Fines of billions dinars were established. Road security brigades reduced traffic accident to 29 percent, Echorouk has learnt.
According to sources, the camouflaged cars are used in 34 provinces and will be generalized to the 48 provinces in Algeria before the end of the year. This comes following positive results achieved in four model provinces. The experience assessment showed that it has a positive and strong impact on drivers. It also reduced traffic accidents and driving-related infractions.
This “smart plan” enabled the National Gendarmerie forces to reduce traffic accidents to 29 percent. The work is continued to reach 30 percent.
