Algeria to receive Muslim Brotherhood members
Algerian authorities asked Muslim Brotherhood’s leading members who left Qatar not to conduct any political activity in return for receiving them, a Tunisian newspaper reported citing anonymous sources.
A senior activist said personalities from the Muslim Brotherhood in Algeria, Egypt, Turkey, Qatar and Tunisia plan to receive their fellows as Qatar asked them to leave its soil.
“Muslim Brotherhood’s members in Algeria asked authorities to allow the concerned personalities to live in Algeria for a given period. Yet, no agreement was reached,” said the same source.
This comes as Sudan announced that it is not ready to receive the Muslim Brotherhood’s members while Turkey welcomed them.
“If they [the member of the Muslim Brotherhood] make any request to come to Turkey, we will review their request,” Agence France-Presse quoted Erdogan.
Earlier on Monday, Tunisian President’s Office denied any intention to receive the Muslim brotherhood’s members.Tunisia’s Echorouk newspaper said Nahda’s leader Rached Ghanouchi plans to receive them temporarily.
