Algeria, Tunisia sign oil deal

Algerian oil and gas company Sonatrach and Tunisia's ETAP will explore the offshore Kaboudia oil well near the Gulf of Hammamet according to a $20 million deal, ANSAmed reported Tuesday (July 27th). The partners expect the well to be operational by the year's end, company officials said.

•  Algeria and Tunisia already jointly run a well on their shared border, north of Chott Djerid. The two countries have long-standing agreements to develop bilateral trade and energy projects.
