Algeria-Vietnam: Potentialities to develop fruitful partnership

ALGIERS- The 9th session of Algeria-Vietnam Joint Cooperation Commission has got underway Sunday in Algiers, chaired by Minister of Industry, SME and Investment Promotion Mohamed Benmeradi and Vietnamese Minister of Construction Nguyen Hong Quan.

The two-day meeting will help identify means and ways to develop cooperation between Algeria and Vietnam in different sectors, including energy, trade, tourism, health, transport, justice and housing.

In his opening address, Benmeradi underlined that Algeria and Vietnam “have huge potentialities that can be developed to achieve fruitful partnership between the two countries.”

In this respect, the minister pointed out that Algeria “can be the gateway for Vietnamese companies to the African market and Vietnam can become the privileged gateway for Algerian firms to enter the Asian market.”
