Algeria vs Serbia: 5,000 policemen to be deployed
Algeria’s 5 Juillet stadium is ready for the friendly match against Serbia due to be held on March 3rd, said an official at Olympic Complex Mohamed Boudief.
- “A large number of measures will be taken. Of them, match security and fans protection,” the same source told Echorouk.
- “A total of 6,000 seats in the stadium will be for families especially that women are expected to come to support Antar Yahia’s team-mates.”
- 5,000 policemen and women have to pay
- About 5,000 policemen will be deployed to ensure the fans’ safety inside and outside the stadium. Security measures wil be tightened up in nearby car parks.
- Earlier in a match between Algeria and Uruguay, female fans entered the stadium without payment. This time, the Olympic Complex administration decided to deal with men and women equally.
- 55,000 tickets for sale
- The Olympic Complex will offer 55,000 tickets for sale though the stadium can contain 65,000 fans. The ticket price is 300 DZ. The number of fans was reduced in an attempt to avoid rush.
- The tickets will be sold four days before the match while the stadium will be opened starting from noon.
- Food, water and fireworks banned
- Fans are not allowed to bring with them food, water and fireworks. They will be subjected to meticulous search. Those who are caught with fireworks will appear in court.
- Fans will watch some matches of the national squad before the match against Serbia.
