Algeria War Veterans: It is time to approve French colonisation draft bill
Said Abadou, Secretary General of the National Organisation of War Veterans
Algeria’s people are attached to their legal demand about the French occupation and it is time to approve the draft law about the criminalisation of colonialism, the National Secretariat of War Veterans’ Organisation said in a release on Monday.
- The French State “avoids its historical responsibility” for what it did to the Algerian people. It will be engraved in the national memory and a motivation to continue struggling.
- The Secretariat condemned “the tendentious French intrusion which is repeated on every occasion Algeria takes responsible measures.”
- “Many officials at this State (France) have not been liberated yet from guardianship illusions,” said the same source.
- The release described the French foreign minister’s remarks about reforms in Algeria as“liberation from the simplest rules of diplomatic practice accredited as part of relationships between nations.”
- “Can those remarks be interpreted as blameworthy intrusion as the question has something to do with an Algerian domestic issue?”
