Algeria : workers’ union general secretary to make order within his institution
Corroborating sources close to the Algerian workers’ Union general secretary, Madjid Sidi Said revealed that the date of the first session of the executive, dedicated for the election of the national secretary members as well as the depurt general secretary, slated for April 9th was delayed as a preventive measure aiming at easing the prevailing tension inside the union.
The union general secretary took this decision to overcome a latent crisis within this institution and find ways to reach a consensus between the national secretary in charge of management, Salah Djenouhet and his rivals.
Sources revealed to “Echourouk” that the general secretary has made a slight changing in the structure he leads as he created the position of “ the Secretary Assistant in charge of management” while he eliminated the position of “General” ,which prompted speculations among the union. But other members said that this reshuffle would contribute to the stability of the union and alleviate the burdens of the general secretary.
To recall, the Worker’s Union general secretary has called on the elected members not to make declarations to the press on behalf of the institution he leads till the organization of the first session.
