Algeria:Banks compelled to finance youth investment projects
Algerian Minister Delegate in charge of the reform of the public service, Mohamed El Ghazi, has announced a set of new measures aimed at drastically easing red tape and removing bureaucratic hurdles in the face of young job seekers.
Among these fresh measures, stands the ministerial decision to extend the unemployment card of a duration of 3 months presently by a whole year in order to spare the jobless Algerian youth the tedious endeavour to renew the document every 3 months at their local youth employment agencies.
Mr El Ghazi made an inspectiontour earlier this week of several youth employment agencies and was flabbergasted by the enormous burden of red tape and related constraints hampering the legitimate youngsters’ quest for new job opportunities in these administrative facilities.
He also paid an inspection visit to the CNAS agency in central Algiers where he met on the spot with a number of disgruntled citizens who told him vividly about the unbearable bureaucratic obstacles hindering a good provision of service supposedlydevolved upon the working staff there.
Mr Mohamed El Ghazi, dismayed by such a bleak situation, enjoined forthwith the CNAS managers to take remedial steps to speed up the processing of the citizens’ files with no further prevarication or face punitive sanctions from the relevant authorities.
The Minister delegate has meanwhile instructed public banks not to fail to finance productive investment projects initiated by ambitious young promoters and entrepreneurs in various fields of endeavor.
