Algerian-American Parliamentary Friendship Group established

Algerian-US Parliamentary Friendship Group was set up on Wednesday in presence of the US Ambassador and America General Director at the foreign ministry.

The first friendship group between the two countries is chaired by member of Parliament Abdelkrim Mhani.

The US Ambassador expressed her satisfaction over relations between her country and Algeria. “They reached their best levels ever. My country hopes to extend and deepen its economic cooperation with Algeria. I plan to work with the Parliamentary Group to reinforce, deepen and extend cooperation between our countries,” she said.

Mhani said the Group will show Algeria’s international exceptional position as it is a pivotal capital in Africa and the Middle East.

He hailed Algeria’s efforts to diversify economy, saying the government’s actions focused on improving investment attractiveness and economy promotion.

“Politically speaking, relations have never been so strong as they are nowadays thanks to high level exchanges,” he added.
