Algerian defender Madjid Bougherra on private visit to Algeria

The Algerian defender and Glasgow Rangers’ Madjid Bougherra has landed the day before yesterday at “Essenia” airport, Oran (western Algeria) where a large crowd of fans have flocked to meet him and take photos with him, but he didn’t last long and declined giving declarations to the media.

• The player has indicated that he was on a charity visit for the benefit of cancer-hit children. Bougherra will give funds to finance the center. He was very moved by the children to an extent that he extended his visit until the afternoon.

• Madjid Bougherra then moved to the province of Sidi Belabess ( western Algeria) to visit his relatives before coming back to Oran for some rest pending his departure slated for today.

• The player has declined giving declarations to the media despite several attempts from the journalists on spot, adding that he was on private visit and will not talk about football neither about the national squad’s participation in the world cup.
