Algerian defender Rafik Belhadj to Echourok: We target a win in Bangui
The Algerian defender Nadhir Belhadj has indicated that the “Greens†task will be tough against the Central African squad in Bangui, slated for Sunday, but he remains optimistic as to the chances of the Algerian team to clinch a victory.
- Echourok: How is the atmosphere within the group ahead of your departure to the Republic of Central Africa?
- Belhadj: Actually, the conditions are excellent considering the training sessions we have performed so far, we are looking forward to carrying on the same conditions on our arrival to Bangui this Friday.
- Echourok: How was the frost contact with the coach Benchikha?
- Belhadj: the coach and I had a lengthy conversation before my arrival to Algeria and followed the discussions upon my arrival on Tuesday. His ( the coach) discourse was convincing and uplifted our spirits we will do our utmost to help him in his task.
- Echourok: Some parties have hinted to your dissatisfaction with your new club in Qatar, any comments?
- Belhadj: I deny completely these allegations and assure you that I’m very happy with my club “ Essad”; my participation as a regular player since the beginning of the season is self explanatory.
- Echourok: After two defeats in a row, your club has registered a 2-0 win last Monday versus Al Ahly, does this achievement retrieved stability within the group?
- Belhadj: Definitely, this victory uplifted our spirits after two successive defeats; I think that we are on the right track.
- Echorok: Many key players will miss the match versus the Republic of Central Africa, will this impact on the overall performance of the team?
- Belhadj: It’s true that the absence of Ziani, Matmour , Guediuora and Chadli will weight on the balance but the Algerian squad comprise several other players who can take on the challenge, we will do our best to return at home with a victory.

- Belhadj: There is no doubt, I’m 100% ready for the match and will do my utmost regardless of the post where the coach asks me to evolve in, what matters is that the Algerian squad return home with a victory to catch up the mast setback against Tanzania.
