Algerian Football Federation: Raouraoua will run for another term

President of the Algerian Football Federation Mohamed Raouraoua will run for another term in the February elections. He launched an “undeclared” anticipated campaign ahead for a new mandate, Echorouk has learnt.

Raouraoua will run for another term although he did not announce that. He had said “it is early to do that.”

According to the same sources, Raouraoua wants another term whatever the result which could be achieved by the national football team in the African Cup of Nations qualifiers 2017 in Gabon.

It is noticed that Raouraoua has stopped making “pessimistic” statements. Earlier before the Russia World Cup, he said winning the continental title in Africa may not be possible due to difficult climate conditions. Recently, he said Algeria wants to get the title in the Gabon competition.

Raouraoua also washed hands of all the negative points of football in Algeria. He highlighted his positive achievements and results made by the FAF in terms of training. He also criticized Algeria’s first players for their performance.
