Algerian humanitarian caravan reaches Gaza

At long last, the Gaza-bound Algerian humanitarian convoy has crossed Rafah heading for the Gaza after going through intricate measures imposed by the Egyptian authorities delaying the entry for 24 full hours.

• The Algerian delegation was utterly surprised by the Egyptian decision to deny entry to three members namely, the former MP Abdeklkrim Ben Al Kat, the top manager at the Algerian Hydrocarbons company Mohammed Al Bar and the university teacher Rachedi Mouloud.

• But these obscure manoeuvres didn’t affect the Algerian delegation that kept calm and dealt with the problem with wisdom; however they decided not to get to Gaza unless altogether. Two hours later, a top Egyptian security officer has informed the members of the delegation that the Egyptian authorities have given the go ahead for their entry to Gaza.

• The Egyptian media flocked to cover the departure of the Algerian caravan to Gaza amid stiffened security measures deployed by the Egyptian security forces that supervised the movements of the Algerian convoy until its final destination.
