Algerian players start their preparations amid freezing temperatures in Switzerland

The first training session of the Algerian national squad outside their hotel in Crans- Montana, Switzerland, is slated for today and is designed to evaluate the firm of the players in general.

  •
  • The freezing temperatures will help the French physical coach Brochet, who joined the players last Thursday in their training camp coming from Paris, push the players’ limits to make them fit for the upcoming competition.
  •
  • Temperatures dropped drastically those days in the region of Crans- Montana as they do not exceed 5 degrees during the day and zero during the night.
  •
  • The Algerian technical staff expressed its total satisfaction as to the prevailing weather conditions in Crans- Montana because they will be similar to the South African ones during the World cup which coincides with the winter season in the southern hemisphere.
  •
  • Quietness helped the players’ concentration
  •
  • The players who joined the training camp earlier have expressed their satisfaction declared being and all agreed upon the quietness of the site that helps them concentrate on their preparation.
  •
  • Karim Matmour, who was among the first players to ‘ Le Golf” hotel on Thursday,  has declared that he was very happy with atmosphere prevailing in the training camp and that the Algerian national squad can make of this preparation a total success.
  •
  • Although the region is famous for its cold weather all year long, snow didn’t fall this time around but weather forecasts have predicted snowfalls before the end of May. In it happens to be true this will affect the Greens’ preparations especially that the head coach Rabah Saadane didn’t take into consideration this natural phenomenon before the departure of the Algerian delegation.
  •
  • Players are not allowed to quit the hotel
  •
  • The technical staff has ordered the players to stay at the hotel and do not leave the premises without prior permission in order to keep their concentration at maximum. Although the first week of the training camp will mainly focus on a general evaluation of the form of the players, we have noticed that the technical staff was very strict with them by contrast with previous training camps.
