Algerian Portuguese cooperation: First flight between Algiers and Lisbon to start on Tuesday
The first direct flight from Algiers International airport Houari Boumediene towards the Portuguese capital Lisbon started on Tuesday.

- This new flight would reduce the time lag to reach Lisbon only in two hours, strengthening ties between and cooperation between Algeria and Portugal.
- Opening this new flight between Lisbon and Algiers came to implement the agreements concluded between the two countries, especially during the bilateral summits held between 2007 and 2008.
- The Portuguese state secretary and Algerian assistant of the Public Works and Communication Ministry will inaugurate the new flight, confirming the political cooperation behind this Portuguese flight.
- Portuguese State Secretary will also attend Algiers International opening on Wednesday June 2, as Portugal will participate with 30 companies.
- Lisbon is the third European capital close to Algeria and it is a first class tourist city. Flights would start on Saturday and Thursday from Lisbon at 16: 15 pm, leading to Houari Boumerdiene International airport at 18:05 pm. Each flight contains 45 passengers.
