Algerian Security Services Arrest the Leader of a Dangerous International Drug Trafficking Gang

Algiers security services arrested, in a quality operation, the leader of a dangerous international gang which is active in drug smuggling between France, Morocco and Algeria, as the latter was wanted by the International Police “Interpol”, after he was sentenced to 8 years in prison by the French justice in the drug case, and he travelled with forged documents and identity.

Details of the case, according to Echorouk information, is dating back to the information that was received by the Algerian police, regarding the leader of the dangerous international gang that is active on the axis of Morocco – France and that Interpol an arrest warrants against him.

Information was exploited after the process of research and investigation, Algiers security services succeeded after detecting and controlling the perfect ambush, in arresting the leader of the gang who is called “B.R” and who holds the French nationality, and who was wanted by international police and the French security services for his involvement in several criminal cases.

Investigations with the detainee indicated that he was travelling with forged documents and identity which belonged to someone else who holds the “Algerian name” and who resides in France, who is originally (arrested) in the French “Lyon”, and he is active in the international gang for smuggling and trafficking of various drugs’ kinds.

Investigations also found that the detainee “B.R” went to a restaurant in Algiers Dali Ibrahim, where he was arrested suddenly and surprisingly.

In a related context, identical sources told Echorouk, that the leader of the gang was followed in France in the case of smuggling, and trading with about 2 quintals of cannabis and was sentenced with 8 years in prison by the French justice, and also shows that “Interpol” is still chasing the dangerous gang’s members that was led by the arrested.

Police services brought the gang’s leader in front of Bir Mourad Rais Court, where the public prosecutor ordered to put him in prison awaiting the completion of the investigation, as the procedures of handing him over to INTERPOL, according to the bilateral agreement between the Algerian and international police.
