Algerian Symbol will be marketed on Monday, says industry minister

Mechanical industry in Algeria will have competitive capacity in international markets very soon. This is due to new incentives in the sector. Consumption loans will cover the “Algerian Symbol” starting from January. New European operators may come to support automotive industry in Algeria soon, industry minister Abdesselam Bouchouareb told Echorouk in an interview.

Renault plant will be inaugurated on Monday to manufacture the first “Algerian Symbol.” Will sales be started?

The first “Algerian Symbol” will be launched on Monday. It will be distributed after it had undergone a series of experiments. Distribution networks were ordered to officially start receiving sale requests. Selling process will start on November 11^th.

Will consumption loans cover the “Algerian Symbol?”

For this, the government set arrangements as part of the Finance Act 2015. The “Algerian Symbol” will be covered by consumption loans starting from January.

In previous remarks, you talked about new underway talks in automotive industry sector.

Along with investors, we have to maintain confidence. Because of that, let’s me say that two companies want to invest in cars sector.

Along with the foreign minister Ramtane Lamamra, you will supervise an Algerian-French joint committee on Monday. What will you talk about?

Monday’s meeting will assess what was done in accordance to a joint release issued from the first session held in Algeria. It will also be as a preparatory meeting for the joint committee due to be held in Paris on December 4^th. The agenda will be rich and fructuous.
