This case, which was discussed yesterday at the court is back to July 2015, when the young man “A” who is accused of trying to join a terrorist group that is operating abroad, decided to go to Syria to join ISIS, as he acknowledged before the judge of El Harrach Court, and confirmed that the idea of Jihad was discussed with a man in Switzerland, who remained in contact with him, despite he joined ISIS strongholds in Syria. He explained to the investigating judge the way of receiving the idea of ”jihad” which he discovered when browsing ISIS websites, before retreating all his statements during his appearance yesterday in front of the Criminal Court.

He said that his statements came as a revenging reaction against his father because he kept him from his German mother and brought him to Algeria when he was 3, and left him in the care of his aunt for 15 years, during which he did not enjoy his life with his aunt’s family.
