Algerian Workers Union chief presses for holding sway on social services
The Algerian Workers’ Union Secretary General Madjid Sidi Said has yesterday given the go ahead for the National Federation of Education Sector personnel to undertake the necessary steps in a move to keep the social services.

The Secretary General has called on the federation to avoid basing their demands on the social services considering this dossier as a political rather than technical one, blaming implicitly the independent unions for their management of the issue.

Sidi Said has , in this respect, slammed some managers in a number of education departments accusing them of trying to keep the balance between his Union and the independent ones as concerns the social services issue.

He has also blamed the unionists in various provinces for not being aggressive when it deals with defending the Union’s interests.
