Algerian Young Man Cheated On Senior State Officials

Prosecutor of the republic appealed to the court of Dar Bida in Algiers, on Tuesday, for a five-year prison sentence, along with a fine of 100,000 DZD, against a young man named “R.J”, who was charged with forgery and the use of fraudulent in administrative edicts, to intervene in civil functions legally organized unlawfully, and fraud, after claiming that he was the son of General “Al Arb iBelkhir”, and roaming within the headquarters and ministries without control, as a sub-director of presidential security, in addition to cheating on many senior state official, including the consultant of the Ministry of Housing, and stripped her of her personal car and sums of money, in exchange for false promises to promote them in the highest positions, as they thought he has considerable influence in the state.

According to the court’s hearing, on Tuesday, the defendant was arrested after a period of his use as a presidential adviser and an official in charge with confidential files by the President, during the public works exhibition at the Palace of the exhibitions where strange movements of the accused were observed, and where he was arrested by the security services without being able to show documents that prove his statements, on the basis of which he was immediately arrested for judicial investigation, as the investigation of the file resulted in the seizure of several forged documents with other identities.

Minutes of the judicial investigation included the statements of the accused as a security guard to the president and the son of General “Al Arbi Belkhir”, as he was present at the exhibition on an official mission. 

He presented pictures of several ministers during official missions. It turns out that his allegations are baseless, in addition to filling complaints by several officials against him for fraud and forgery.

The defendant, during his response to the questions of the judge and the prosecution, retracted all of his statements and confessions during the investigation. 

He confirmed that these officials accused him after exposing them during a complaint that he allegedly impounded in front of the gendarmerie on charges of stealing precious diamonds, so they prepared a plot against him with the intention of murder.
