Algerians are not mercenaries, say Libyans

A number of Algerians who came back from Libya through the crossing point of Taleb Laarbi in the province of El Oued (south-east of Algiers) said the Algerian government is not involved in what is happening in Libya.

• Doctor Radia who worked in the Libyan capital Tripoli said she failed to save a one-year-baby’s life. Her body was mutilated and many parts of her body were burnt by air shelling on her house.

• “If my mother were not worried about me, I would have stayed in Libya accomplishing my duty.”

• “Our journey to Algeria was risky. I was in a bus carrying Tunisian nationals,” she added.

• She also said any no one among the Libyans she met believed that Algerians are mercenaries.

• Abdeldjebbar, a banking employee in Libya, said he was lucky to send his wife and little daughter to Algeria, a month ago. “I was insulted and beaten by Libyan policemen who shouted on me ‘you are libertine, Algerians.”
