Ali Haddad: “Constitution Amendement Would Eliminate Businessmen's Demonization
Ali Haddad

Heads of Entreprises Forum (FCE) will present its proposals for the new constitution to the parliament workshops, which will open discussions on legal articles that it contained in the coming days, FCE Head, Ali Hadda, said.

“Most important thing that was brought by the new project is equality between the public and private institutions, which will eliminate the “demonization” of businessmen in Algeria, whose goal remains serving the national economy.”

Haddad added, during a speech at Bani Hammad Hotel, for the opening of the FCE Delegation in Bordj Bou Arreridj (eastern Algiers), at the presence of the former Post Minister, Moussa Ben Hamadi, that the Forum participated in the constitution consultations, since the beginning of 2012, when Reda Hamiani, was chairmen of the forum.

“FCE will present new proposals during the next phase of the parliament, after the Constitutional Council expressed its opinion. Our objective is developing the private sector through the achievement of equality between public and private enterprises. Distinction between the two sectors created extremism of businessmen in the recent years. Oil crisis is a “blessing”, because the national institutions should work hard now to achieve competitiveness.”

“Bordj Bou Arreridj gave birth to prominent businessmen, and it is the capital of the electronics with distinction. Everyone should contribute to save Algeria from the hook of oil crisis, which is likely to worsen during the next phase. Most important goal of FCE is the development of investment climate and reducing unemployment, and keep pace with the fourth industrial revolution fourth 4-0 which was unveiled a few days ago in the Swiss Davos. FCE joined the World Economic Forum in Davos, which is the largest international economic forum.”

“My goal is to serve the public interest and Algeria, and make the institution at the center of the authorities’ attention. 2015 was the year of proposals and in 2016 will be to achieve the goals. Over 49 industrial barns will be launched within days.

It should be noted that Houcine Ben Hamadi from Ben Hamadi group was appointed delegate of Bordj Bou Arreridj province.

Public Sector and national institutions can not be competitive when competitors do not exist.... The country has no economy module and has no medium and long term strategic plan and vision.
Private sector represent more than 90% of businesses in Algeria but the focus has always been on the public and remain so for as long as no radical change is made.
How do you expect Algeria to come out of the current economic crisis when there is enormous red tape( bureaucracy) in every step. to incorporate a company ( limited or Sole trade) in Algeria, it takes 3 years ..... this is utterly disappointing. in the United Kingdom as an example, it takes 24 hours online to open a company.
The country need to have an effecian fiscal system in place to collect taxes and VAT and need to have strong bodies ( departments) to regulate the market and prices, which will help in managing the inflation and eliminate monopolies.
