Amar Ghoul: DZD 100 billion to develop road network by 2010
Public Works Minister Amar Ghoul said Thursday a record” budget of DZD 100 billion was allocated to his sector for projects be carried out in Algiers by 2014.
For the five-year plan 2010-2014, the sector has benefitted of a financial allocation twice as much as that of 2004-2009 (DZD 50 billion), the minister said at a press briefing at the end of an inspection visit to a number of projects in Algiers.
The current plan includes major road network projects, such as roads, highways and port facilities. Studies relating to some of them are nearing completion. They concern the trunk roads 121, 145 and 149 linking respectively Bordj El Bahri and Ain Taya, Hamiz and Rouiba, Bordj El Kiffan and Rouiba in order to decongest the cities of Rouiba and Reghaia, he added.
