Antiques smugglers arrested east of Algeria
Algerian security services arrested a gang of antiques smugglers and money trafficking in Medaourouche, south of Souk Ahras (East of Algeria), a security source told APS here on Sunday.
Same sources said security services arrest three antique smugglers, aged between 25 and 35 on Saturday; two of them live in Medaourouche and the third one in the neighboring locality Oum Bouaki, (east of Algeria).
Security services seize a statue, under investigation to determine its historical era, which may go to the Roman civilization, and a sum of counterfeited money estimated to 410.000 dinars. According to the same sources investigations are continuing to know the other elements of the traffickers.
The three traffickers brought before the Court of Sedrata (east of Algeria), which ordered their custody.
