AON international center ranked Algeria among top countries in terms of political risks which have a negative impact on business climate.

According to a report released by the London-based center, violence continues in Algeria although security situation improved. The country also suffers from weak infrastructures and corruption.

Algeria was ranked among countries of high risks along with Mali, Niger and Mauritania.

The report is meant to provide companies which want to invest abroad with information about countries.

It gave a pessimistic image about investment future in Algeria in light of its indicators.

It shows that political environment in Algeria is still weak due to high levels of political violence, legal and regulatory risks. It also talked about unstable funding and political interference.

The same report said the Algerian government has large financial reserves and should use them to maintain public expenses to face oil price fall.

The British center believes that Algerian President’s term remains suffisant to ensure relative stability. Yet, the country still suffers from Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb-related terror.
