Arab Universities’ Games in Cairo spoiled by biased Egyptian referral

The Technical Manager of the Algerian Federation of Sports for All Moumen Abdelkader Zine Al Aabidine has vehemently criticized the hegemony of the Egyptian referees at the second edition of the Arab Universities’ Games hosted by Egypt.

  •
  • In a declaration made to Echourok yesterday from Cairo international airport,  he has indicated that the Algerian delegation has suffered from the biased referral of the Egyptian referees, adding that Algeria participated with 73 athletes and was ranked at the second position right behind the hosting country although Algeria took part to only 7 disciplines in comparison to 18 for Egypt; and this is a great achievement , he said.
  •
  • The Algerian delegation took part seven disciplines including, Judo, Karate, Table Tennis, Athletics, Taekwondo, Chess and Basketball (men and women), snatching 53 medals including 10 in gold, 27 silver and remaining others in bronze.
  •
  • The Manager has praised the role played by the Algerian embassy in Cairo that facilitated their stay on spot and the heartily welcome it reserved for the Algerian delegation.
  •
  • It should be noted that the second edition of the Arab universities’ Games that took place in Egypt, brought together 18 countries and 2000 students.
