Army forces arrest two terrorists and track down others on border with Libya
The National People’s Army has launched a wide combing operation in the areas near border with Libya, following the elimination of seven terrorists and the recoup of anti aircraft weapons, brought from Libya.
- Well informed sources said the combing operation, which is backed up with helicopters, aims at tracking down terrorists on the desert borderline.
- Army forces had eliminated on Monday 7 terrorists and arrested two others, in addition to the demolition of 6 AWD cars and the recoup of load of weapons and smuggling equipments.
- Eyewitnesses in the locality of Oued Ain Merzoug, on the border with Niger, said many helicopters of the national army forces bombarded fiefs of terrorists after besieging them, while some terrorists disappeared in the nature.
- The joint security services are likely to reinforce presence on the border with Libya to anticipate terror attempts of smuggling weapons from the troubled neighbouring country.
