Bad weather kills 4 and injures 25 in Algeria

Three people were killed and 25 were injured in a traffic accident due to heavy rains in the province of Tlemcen (west of Algiers).

• In El Bayadh, heavy rains killed a man while a group of families were evacuated as their houses were damaged.

• The 33-year-old man was swept by water while rains caused floods in valleys.
•  
• Heavy rains caused floods in the province of Msila and blocked the National Route No 45 which links between southern and northern municipalities. Fire fighters rescued six people.

• The city of Ain Ouessara was rained upon by hailstones which injured 8 people. A number of cars and trees were damaged.
•  
• Hailstones killed tens of sheep and damaged mant agricultural harvests in the province of Djelfa.
•  
• In the east, rains caused floods in some valleys. Eight families left their houses because of water leak.
