Badaoui: “Algeria Is Not Facing Bankruptcy, We Must Rationalize Expenses”
Governors should combat the growers of despair and frustration, and focus more on maintaining the security and stability of the country, Interior Minister, Noureddine Badaoui, said.
“We urge you to give hope in the hearts of our youth, and we’re not facing bankruptcy, as some parties say. But we should not face our destiny by showing no efforts”.
Governments meeting with governors comes in difficult economic and security conditions, both with neighboring countries, or in light of the phenomenon of the intercontinental criminality and terrorism.
“The meeting came in the difficult economic conditions and special security situation, that is worsening and becoming more complex day after day, whether in the neighborhood or in the world”.
“Initiative spirit at the level of local communities should be open to investors and to respond to the aspirations of citizens. Government should re-examine the collection and financial situation through providing fiscal and financial framework that allows the municipalities to go beyond the financial difficulties”.
“There should be a fast rationalization of expenses and valuation of local resources. Financial situation in which the country is going through requires governors to redouble efforts to attract good wills, and deal with them positively. Powers of the governors and elected councils should be expanded, through reviewing the laws of state and municipality soon. Administrative division will be completed soon through the creation of elected provinces”.
