Bedoui: President Bouteflika’s Program Will Be Implemented In Full Until 2019
Minister of Interior and Local Assemblies Noureddine Bedoui said on Monday that the Government will never forsake the gains aimed at improving the living conditions of the Algerian citizens in terms of housing, health and water resources, because these gains are “irreversible”, as he put it.
Mr. Bedoui stressed: “I would like to deliver a strong message to the effect that the President’s program will be fully implemented until the year 2019”.
The Government has earmarked all the necessary financial resources and has taken all required measures to speed up the pace of the program’s implementation over the next two years.
Speaking on the sidelines of a working visit to the municipality of Menia in southern Ghardaia province, Mr. Bedoui indicated that the Fund assigned to the South of the country has been revived lately so as to promote the various fields of local development and to bolster the ongoing development effort in the southern provinces by injecting considerable financial resources to this effect.
Regarding social allocations, the Minister of the Interior highlighted the allocation of some 350,000 plots of land across the country to needy citizens, including 30,000 plots of land in Ghardaia, in addition to providing state subsidies amounting to over 100 million Dinars.
Mr. Bedoui further regretted the undue exploitation of African workers in the sectors of agriculture and construction, in the face of the existence of a local unemployment rate estimated at 10%.
