BEM / BAC Exams: “180.000 policemen to be mobilized for the event”
The General Manager of National Security (DGSN) Major General, Abdelghani Hamel, has issued firm instructions to the security chiefs of Algeria's 48 provinces with the aim of ensuring all-out security during the upcoming BEM and Baccalaureate exams by mobilizing to this effect up to 180.000 policemen.
- Teams made up of 4 police agents including a policewoman will be assigned an invigilation mission in each examination center.
- According to security sources, the DGSN measures are aimed at warding off any disruptions during the final year exams to be held between the 5th and 11th of next June.
- This major mobilization of the police corps is designed to make this upcoming educational event a success and to face up to any untoward drift.
- For the province Algiers alone, up to 20 thousand policemen will be mobilized to ensure security in the various examination centers.
- In the post-exam period, the correction and proof-reading centers will be under the watchful eye of scores of dutiful policemen and Gendarmes.
