Benchikha: “The Greens are in top shape and quite ready for Marrakech qualifier”

The national football team coach, Abdelhak Benchikha, has told “Echorouk” that all his players are in top form and quite ready to do their best to carry the day versus Morocco next Saturday in Marrakech as part of the qualifiers for the 2012 Africa cup of nations' competition.

  • Benchikha said that the pressure was more on the shoulders of the Moroccan national squad than on the greens of Algeria who are rather sanguine about the possibility of snatching the three points of victory in Marrakech itself.

  •
  • He indicated that were no cases of last-minute injuries as reported by certain media outlets among the Algeria line-up including striker Rafik Djebbour and midfielder Hassan Yebda who are now hale and hearty, as he put it.

  •
  • Abdelhak Benchikha also underlined that the players of the national squad were all in the right frame of mind and fully conscious of the task devolved upon them in the hope of upsetting the applecart and wrenching a clear away win versus Morocco next Saturday, June 4th in the stadium of Marrakech.

  •
  • Waxing overtly optimistic, Benchikha added that a victory versus Morocco would greatly boost the chances of qualification for the Algeria line-up for the 2012 Africa cup of nations’ contest.
